About ALIES.

Alberta Life Issues Educational Society (ALIES) is a faith-based, interdenominational non-profit organization and a federally registered charity. We operate throughout the province of Alberta. ALIES gathers, develops and distributes information on a broad range of life issues. These include abortion, euthanasia, reproduction technologies, pregnancy, birth control, and human sexuality.

ALIES is governed by a Board of Directors and operated by an Executive Director.

Our mission is to educate Albertans on the sanctity and dignity of all human life from conception to natural death to create and promote a culture of life.

The Life House

A Calgary Ministry

Life House provides educational programming and training to equip the prolife community for meaningful conversations. Life House is also a place where pro-life groups gather and work as a collective.

The Back Porch

An Edmonton Ministry

An honest conversation about abortion, adoption, parenting, and pregnancy can be challenging. Our ministry provides pregnancy options information, referrals, and material and emotional support to pregnant women and their families. We do not refer for abortions.

Meet the Team.

  • Jocelynn Rodrigues

    Administrative Assistant

Jocelynn Rodrigues has a heart for those stuck in the silence of post-abortion grief. Knowing the lasting trauma of abortion herself, as well as the healing grace and forgiveness of the Lord Jesus Christ, she seeks to help other post-abortive women and men. She prays that abortion will be, one day, unthinkable in all minds and hearts. She dedicates her work to her sweet and precious daughter, Abigale Winter Rose, who is with our Heavenly Father. Jocelynn has a background in professional accounting, and used to work as a CPA-CA, then went back to school for social work.
